If you want to give Facebook a piece of your mind, here’s your chance.
Faced with all the usual concerns over Facebook’s constant changes and privacy issues, the social network has rolled out a new customer satisfaction survey.
Spotted by AllFacebook, the survey is linked to a message at the top of the newsfeed for some users. The message reads, “We’d like to hear from you. Please take three to four minutes to tell us about your experience using Facebook.”
A Facebook spokeswoman confirmed that Facebook is indeed circulating surveys. “Facebook runs variations of surveys regularly in order to improve the user experience and this is one of those surveys,” she said.
The 14 questions — and two “optional” boxes that ask users to share additional feedback about the Facebook user experience or the survey itself — use the “very satisfied” to “very unsatisfied” range to help users express their opinions. In addition to probing why people use Facebook and how much they trust Facebook, the social network wants to know how hard is it to use Facebook.
Facebook has been increasing its efforts to make money off ads, and, some say, not paying enough attention to the user experience.
Interestingly enough, there were no questions specifically about advertising. But some questions did ask people how they feel about what Facebook does with their information, which Facebook has no problem using for advertising purposes.
